Portofino 10/11/2015

Portofino is a small town embraced on its bay along Tigullio coast in Liguria. A natural amphitheater of rare beauty has made Portofino famous from the "Dolce Vita" period, in the 60s, and is now considered one of the eight wonders of the world. For sure worth a daily visit if you plan to visit this italian area.

Villasimius 09/09/2014

This shot comes from my 2014 trip to Sardinia.
After some days of stand-by, just blue skies and no clouds (!), finally the weather changed a little. So, I went up to the Aragon tower of Porto Giunco, following a path that winds through the Mediterranean scrub that covers the promontory. This is the result of 5 vertical shots, merged to realize this picture with a nice sunset over the most famous beach of Villasimius, Cagliari.

The Gulf of Poets 25/07/2014

Porto Venere (or Portovenere) is one of the most beautiful sea village in Liguria, Italy.
The town of Porto Venere is located at the southern end of a peninsula, which, breaking away from the jagged coastline of the Riviera di Levante, forms the western shore of "Golfo dei Poeti", not far from the city of La Spezia.
This small coloured village lies also very close to the most famous Cinque Terre National Park, with which forms the territory included by UNESCO in 1997.

Loreto, Italy 19/06/2014

It was a week of very bad weather, so during this trip, I decided to use the dramatic sky in my shots. The moment I love most for cityscapes shots is the blue hour, especially for the reason that all the yellow lights create a spectacular contrast with the strong blue of twilight. I took advantage from the rain, just falled, to illuminate the foreground of the square of Loreto.
The city is a hill town and comune of the Italian province of Ancona, in the Marche. It is most commonly known as the seat of the Basilica della Santa Casa, a popular Catholic pilgrimage site.

Italian Sunset 18/04/2014

Manarola, one of the five sea villages in the Cinque Terre National Park, is one of the most scenic town of the La Spezia riviera in the northern part of Italy. Known as the second smallest village in the Park is the most frequented from tourists and photographers as well.
I suggest you to visit it during winter time, the climate is pleasant and the location will not be crowded at all. You can also hope to find an accomodation in Manarola that is certainly one of the most beautiful experiences to live during your stay in Cinque Terre.

This shot was used from 2013 by a famous puzzle company that sells his products all over Italy. Just check out on a shop in Manarola if you want to take home a small souvenir!

Castelsardo 18/09/2013

One of the most special and definitely photogenic place of Sardinia is the sea of the small village of Castelsardo.
I went there at sunset, after a quick calculation of exposure to the sun, on a day with a fairly rough sea. Thanks to the waves, that created this little natural pool, I managed to do a shot of this original Italian beauty instead of the classic scene.
Hope you will enjoy it!

Vernazza Cinque Terre 18/02/2013

A winter's dawn at Vernazza, in the Cinque Terre National Park, one of the pearls of the Liguria, italian region for landscapes.
I often go in a place the day before, it is essential to have time to study the light and find a optimal sight to value the landscape in function of the light.

First Light in Vernazza 15/12/2012

12.12.2012 It has been over a year from the flood that has devastated the protected landscape of Cinque Terre (Liguria, Italy) and nothing ever seems to be happened. Once again the people has raised louder than before and this picture is to thank all those who love life and allows us to visit these wonders of the world.

Manarola Cinque Terre 10/12/2012

The most beautiful places in the world are also the most photographed... yet it is precisely here that a landscape photographer desires to do something original, trying to get away from the easy or trivial shooting. Manarola, in the Cinque Terre National Park, is one of them. Like many other places in Italy I think this is a good training ground for artists from all over the world! My tip? Try not to get caught by the guards and go directly to the bottom of the cliffs (careful... not to fall down!)... you will first have a different view, then use your imagination.
